Our family farm in Woodland, Alabama, has raised cattle on pasture for generations. In 2024, we opened our gates a little wider—sharing farm-raised beef, handcrafted tallow skincare, and a new farmstand where families and neighbors can connect directly with what we produce.

🌾 Generations of Farming
Blended Pastures Farmstead has always been part of our family’s roots. For as long as we can remember, we’ve cared for cattle on open pastures here in Woodland, Alabama—raising them the natural way and passing down the knowledge of farming through generations.
🐂 Cattle and Tradition
For decades, our herd was raised with the same values we hold today: respect for the land, care for the animals, and pride in the work. Like many family farms, we sent our cattle to market, providing beef through traditional channels but rarely connecting directly with the people enjoying it at their tables.
✨ A New Chapter in 2024
In 2024, we chose a new path. Instead of sending all our cattle to market, we began offering farm-raised beef directly to families—sharing the same wholesome beef we’ve always enjoyed ourselves. This step allowed us to bring our story full circle, from pasture to plate.
🧴 Handcrafted Skincare
That same year, we looked at the value of the whole animal and brought back a nearly forgotten tradition: beef tallow skincare. By rendering our own grass-fed tallow, we began crafting whipped lotions and balms—simple, nourishing, and rich in vitamins A, D, E, and K. What once started in our farmhouse kitchen is now a product line we proudly share with others.
🏡 The Farmstand at Blended Pastures
Also in 2024, we opened The Farmstand at Blended Pastures—a place where local folks and vacationers visiting Lake Wedowee can stop by and purchase our beef, tallow skincare, and other farm goods directly. The Farmstand is open 7 days a week, from 7am to 7pm. And in true farm tradition, when we’re not in the stand, neighbors can still shop using the honor system with Venmo or cash payments. It’s our way of keeping things simple, honest, and community-centered.
